Monique has lived and worked in Toronto for over 25 years, and loves being part of this city which is comprised of hundreds of communities! She currently resides in Regent Park and joined our Board of Directors at Building Roots after spending time as a volunteer at the Moss Park Market and feeling part of our community. Professionally, she has been in financial services for over 20 years working in varied roles at Investment dealers, asset managers and large full-service organizations, always going where there are interesting problems to be solved and great teams to work with!  Each role helped Monique hone her view on leadership, because she believes that a great team makes all the difference, both to her success & happiness. She’ll often say that she’s never had an idea that isn't made better by someone else's perspective. In her spare time, Monique loves to walk, volunteer, cook (so she can eat it!), read fiction, and be ruled by her dog Buddy.
