urban farm participation

COME GARDEN WITH US

Our urban farm is in the east end of Toronto, near the Beaches.

We meet weekly during the season to grow vegetables for the Building Roots Moss Park Market — and to enjoy a lovely site, sunshine, birdsong, and cheerful gardening company. (It is a small site but large enough for distancing.)

We grow a variety of vegetables and tend a tiny orchard, a rock garden, an herb garden, and some raised beds. We also do a lot of skill sharing.

THE URBAN FARM HAS TWO MAIN PURPOSES:
LEARNING AND COMMUNITY.

It’s OK if you haven’t ever grown vegetables before — and it’s OK if you are very experienced. In a farming context, no matter how small it is, there’s room for every kind of skill and ability and interest. (That includes raising caterpillars to butterflies, pruning fruit trees, artistic scarecrows, roses, and plain old digging.)

To get involved, let us know a little about yourself below. You’ll hear back from us soon : )
