Bruno Weber is a partner at the nationally recognized KPMB Architects in Toronto. His
architectural practice is grounded in a commitment to social responsibility and to
creating places that cultivate community and address systemic challenges, ranging from
climate change to social disconnection. Since joining KPMB in 2000, Bruno has led a
wide range of architectural projects, with significant experience in the design of
affordable housing. He is currently co-leading the design of Odenak in Ottawa with
Perkins&Will — one of Canada’s largest zero-carbon residential developments — which
will prioritize communities that have historically faced barriers to housing. Bruno is also
leading a new residential development with Toronto Community Housing in the city’s
Swansea neighbourhood and the transformation of a historic university campus in
northern Toronto into a mixed-use community and one of the largest privately delivered
affordable housing developments in the region. His long-standing interest in
socioeconomic justice has also led to work with Indigenous Northern Housing and the
National Research Council of Canada’s Path to Healthy Homes Program for Indigenous
communities. Should you wish to connect directly with our Board of Directors, you can email brboard@buildingroots.ca.
