Every week he sends the team the best harvest photos. A few more harvest days to go before the garden starts winding down for the season 💚

Going forward, we’re no longer able to accept reusable bag donations. Thank you for thinking of us and for always finding ways to support Building Roots and our community — we really appreciate it! 🌱

Something BIG is taking shape at the Moss Park Mar Something BIG is taking shape at the Moss Park Market 👀✨ Our market container is getting a whole new look, with @p.omelo working their magic and bringing some serious colour to the space. We’re only giving you a little peek for now… stay tuned. A huge thank you to @stepspublicart for helping make this happen.
We wrapped up our final day of this Community Lead We wrapped up our final day of this Community Leaders cohort with one last session exploring our **Land as Leadership** theme. 🌿 Facilitator Nicole Klenk led us through a hands-on day of learning about natural dyes, fabrics, and printmaking. Nicole is a professor of Environmental Sciences, as well as a textile artist and researcher, and gratefully shared her knowledge and practice with the participants. A creative and thoughtful way to close out this chapter of the Community Leaders Program. 💚 @themeshworks
Bitter melon is one of the plants we grow in the M Bitter melon is one of the plants we grow in the Moss Park Community Garden at the request of our community. 🌱 It’s a familiar and well-loved ingredient across many of the cultures that make up Moss Park, so we were excited to finally see it ready for harvest! Our volunteers were especially happy to pick it fresh from the garden and share it with community members.
A little colour and conversation in today’s sessio A little colour and conversation in today’s session 🎨🌼 We spent the morning by the Market and enjoying some time together.
