She/Her | Food Programs and Community Care Manager
Amy believes nourishment is at the heart of bringing relationship and love into any community. Her role as Food Programs and Community Care Manager allows her to focus on access to vibrant and fresh produce for Moss Park residents while building deep relationships with community members. She believes reciprocity, gratitude and abundance are essential in honouring how we can be in good relationship with those around us.   "I am a dreamer. I feel inspired by my teachers (yes, you, readers). I feel inspired by community members (also my teachers), and I feel inspired by the oldest of teachers, water and land. All of these relationships embolden my dreams and help bring them to fruition. These dreams and learnings have so little to do with individuality. "Collaboration and the collective are the greatest vessels we have access to when creating thoughtful worlds."   In addition to her work at Building Roots, Amy guides immersive evenings that centre around curating meaningful relationships through presence, play and intimacy. She believes when we practice these dynamics, we can deeply connect to ourselves and those around us.   Amy loves to stretch, dance, create, celebrate and sunbathe.   If you feel curious or inspired or would like to connect with Amy about anything you have read here, she always welcomes thoughts and relations. You can reach her at amy@buildingroots.ca
