Ella is a food justice activist and advocate who has been working across Ontario from Sault Ste. Marie to Toronto. She’s been a part of various small organizations developing programming and capacity around local foods. Ella’s passions are food justice, Indigenous sovereignty, environmental sustainability and where those intersect. Her outlook on mutual respect includes everything from interpersonal to ecological relationships. As a member of the Building Roots team she is excited to shift the needle of the local food movement to include agency, sovereignty, and sustainability.
