Mac has been serving on the front lines working to foster community cohesion and build capacity for over the past decade. They previously worked as an outpost Registered Nurse in fly-in communities in northern Ontario. After requiring a better work/life balance they made the difficult decision to leave the profession. They joined the Building Roots team in 2021 and shortly thereafter they created Coffee & Conversations, an outreach table that is set up every Saturday outside the Moss Park Market to provide the community with a space to connect and learn about local resources and programs. They thoroughly enjoy speaking with people, while creating new and meaningful connections. mac@buildingroots.ca
