On select Saturdays in June through September, Building Roots works with a variety of local partners and artists to animate the public space outside the Moss Park Market.
It’s very important to us to support a variety of mediums while empowering these local artists. Summer Saturdays have proven successful in providing a safe space for neighbours to connect while exploring the arts.
Activities include the Moss Park Fun Zone (featuring free giveaways and fun for kids and youth), arts & crafts, live music, snacks, drinks, and more!
In 2021 we introduced sports and recreation equipment sign-outs, which we have expanded in 2022.
Also, in 2022, you can also expect the return of our 3rd annual Café Caribbean, in collaboration with JamaicanEats Magazine.
